Aperi easy chair and sofa, designed by the German design duo Läufer & Keichel, received the Winner Award in two categories of the German Design Award; Furniture and Universal Design. An adequate number of distinctions in each category receives the Winner award.
Aperi, the first product created in the collaboration between Lammhults and Läufer & Keichel, was launched this year and has been presented at Stockholm Furniture Fair and Salone del Mobile in Milan with great success.
Aperi is a soft welcome to the modern office. Today’s workspace relies more and more on the comforts of home, while the home is often an office. With a softened, inviting look Aperi will offer comfort and style for any environment. Aperi comes as an easy chair and a 2 or 3 seater sofa, with visible stitches to add identity. Optional seams in diverging colours create an exclusive touch.
The German Design Award is the top international prize of the German Design Council. Its goal: to discover, present and honour unique design trends. Therefore, every year, top-quality entries from product and communication design are rewarded, all of which are in their own way ground-breaking in the international design landscape. Launched in 2012, the German Design Award is one of the most well-respected design competitions in the world and is held in high regard well beyond professional circles.
All awards are determined during a two-day jury session.
The jury of the German Design Award is made up of design experts from various disciplines. They come from the world of business, education and science as well as the design industry and are recognised leading authorities in their respective fields.
